Estudio sobre Episimus condensatanus (Zeller), plaga del ocuje Valdés, Eduvigis Hochmut, Richard En el marco de las investigaciones sobre las plagas forestales se prestó atención al microlepidóptero E. condensatanus (Zeller) (Olethreutidae,  Lepidoptera) que ataca los nuevos brotes y hojas del ocuje (Calophyllum brasiliense Camb. var. antillanum). Según los criterios modernos, no existe una descripción completa de esta especie, ni en la literatura del país, ni en el extranjero. Esta contribución tiene por objetivo completar los conocimientos al respecto. Se ofrece información sobre el ciclo de vida y se hacen recomendaciones  para su control químico. Within the framework of the research on forest pests attention was paid to the microlepidopterus E. condensatanus (Zeller) (Olethreutidae, Lepidoptera), which attacks the new shoots and leaves of "ocuje" (Calophyllum braisiliense Camb. var. antillanum). There is not a complete description of this species according to modern criteria, neither in the national literature nor in that of other countries. The aim of this contribution is to give a complete knowledge on this subject. Information is given about its life cycle and recomendations are made for its chemical control.
