La estimación de la partida económica de la producción de un juego de sala de cuatro piezas muestra un comportamiento económico favorable, pero una incidencia ambiental negativa, fundamentada además en los resultados del diagnóstico de las actividades de recolección y aprovechamiento actuales de la especie. La implementación de las especificaciones permite incrementar en un 20 % el rendimiento de la fibra del bejuco por concepto de disminución de desperdicios y rechazos, debiendo ser tenidas en cuenta por las entidades que manejan productivamente el bejuco, y por los artesanos y creativos independientes, y todos aquellos que emplean la fibra en cualquier contexto de utilización.
