Se empleó la técnica de Forestería Análoga, la cual tiene en cuenta el cálculo del carbono retenido en las áreas de tratamiento durante el proceso. El objetivo del trabajo fue determinar el carbono total retenido en las áreas naturales en 2015 en los sitios de Díaz Cuevas, Oliver, en la provincia de Villa Clara; La Aplastada Arriba, en la Sierra Maestra, Granma, y Paso de Cuba-Sabanilla, Baracoa, Guantánamo. Se establecieron parcelas de 20 m x 25 m. Se aplicó la metodología de Álvarez y Mercadet (2009) para el cálculo del carbono retenido. Se obtuvo para el sitio de Díaz Cuevas 136,83 t, para la Aplastada Arriba 41,74 t, y en la faja hidrorreguladora de Paso de Cuba 1573,2 t. Se han absorbido de la atmósfera 6429,00 t CO2. Cuba has been strongly involved in the actions related with the climatic change where they are present the adoption of necessary mitigation measures to reduce its negative influences and to take advantage of the positive ones. The technique of Analogy Forestry was used based on designs, which keeps in mind the calculation of the carbon retained in the treatment areas from during the process. The objective of the work was to determine the total carbon retained in the natural areas in the 2015 in the places Díaz Cuevas. Oliver Placetas in Villa Clara.
