Chala-Arias, Karell sampling inventory conservation muestreo inventario conservación La investigación se realizó en 2015 en el asentamiento El Macho, ubicado en el municipio de Guisa, provincia de Granma, con el objetivo de caracterizar la composición florística presente en un fragmento del bosque de galería del río Guisa. Para su ejecución se muestrearon 14 transectos distribuidos sistemáticamente en ambos márgenes del río realizando un inventario de las especies arbóreas presentes, las que fueron clasificadas taxonómicamente. Las familias mejor representadas fueron Fabaceae con 12 especies, seguida de las familias Anacardiaceae, Euphorbiaceae y Meliaceae con tres, Malvaceae, sapindaceae y myrtaceae con dos y Burceraceae y Sterculiaceae con una. Las especies arbóreas mejor representadas en el fragmento de bosque fueron Samanea saman (Jacq.) Merr., Lonchocarpus dominguensis (Pers.)D. C., Roystonea regia (Kunth.) O. F. Cook, Manguifera indica L., Guasuma tomentosa (Kunth) y Cupania americana. Se comparó la riqueza de especies en ambas márgenes del río en el cual el margen izquierdo resulto ser el más diverso. Cook, Manguifera indica L., Guasuma tomentosa (Kunth.) and Cupania americana. The wealth of species was compared in both riverbanks of the river in which the left margin is to be the most diverse.
