Para esto fue utilizada la versión 2.15 del sistema automatizado para las estimaciones del carbono retenido en el año base (SUMFOR v-2.15). La EFIC acumulaba 7454,7 Mt de carbono en su año base 2012, estimándose para 2022 unos 13 882,5 Mt, aumentando su potencial de retención en 6428,8 Mt, siendo los bosques naturales y las plantaciones establecidas los componentes del patrimonio que más contribuyeron. Se debe ejecutar la implementación de un plan para identificar aquellas actividades que alteran o modifican negativamente el incremento de la acumulación del carbono para el período de 10 años. Se recomiendan como alternativas de mitigación a seguir, aumentar el IMA de los bosques naturales en 1 m3/ha/año y reducir otras talas en un 50 % como fundamentales, o una combinación de alternativas. The patrimony of the Integral Forest Company of Cienfuegos (EFIC) is analyzed being determined the quantity of retained carbon as well as its expectable changes in 10 years. For this, it was used the version 2.15 of the automated system for the estimates of the carbon sink (SUMFOR v-2.15). In its base year 2012 the EFIC accumulates 7454,7 Mt of carbon, being estimated by the year 2022 around 13 882,5 Mt, increasing it sink potential in 6428,8 Mt; where the natural forests and the established plantations are the patrimony components that more contribute. The implementation of a plan should be executed to identify those activities that alter or modify the increment of the accumulation of the carbon negatively for the 10 year period. As fundamentals strategies of mitigation, the increment in 1 m3/ha/year of IMA in natural forest and reducing the harvesting because other cuttings in 50 % are recommended.
