Se tomó para ello una muestra de 80 árboles los que fueron marcados cada 1 m, y de tal forma que abarcaran todo el comportamiento de los diámetros a 1,30 de la plantación. Mediante el empleo de los procedimientos del inventario forestal y el uso de la estadística inferencial, con la regresión lineal y la estimación curvilínea, se ajustan y comparan modelos de volumen para árboles derivados de diámetro con corteza. Así se obtiene que el modelo que mejor ajuste y capacidad predictiva es el logarítmico, teniendo como variable independiente el producto del d1,30 al cuadrado por la altura relativa. In the work the objective was to construct a volume table for Acacia mangium (Willd) in the Pinar del Río Agroforestry Company. For this purpose, a sample of 80 trees were selected, which were marked every 1 meter and in such a way as to cover all the behavior of the diameters at 1.30 of the plantation. Through the use of forest inventory procedures and the use of inferential statistics, with linear regression and curvilinear estimation, the volume models for trees derived from diameter with bark are adjusted and compared. Thus we obtain that the model that best fit and redictive capacity is the logarithmic having as independent variable the product of d1.30 squared or relative height.
