Las palmáceas de la provincia de Camagüey, Cuba The palms of the province Camagüey, Cuba Risco-Villalobos, Rafael Á palms conservation endemic phylogeographic districts palmas conservación endémico distrito fitogeográfico En el trabajo se relacionan las especies de palmas que crecen en la provincia de Camagüey a partir de la revisión bibliográfica y las observaciones de campo, así como la actualización taxonómica correspondiente. Se reportan 32 taxones infragenéricos pertenecientes a nueve géneros. Del total de taxones, el 79,4 % tienen distribución restringida en el archipiélago cubano, y cinco especies son endémicos estrictos para el territorio camagüeyano. Se valora el comportamiento sinantrópico y el estado de conservación, reportándose 24 especies con categoría asignada en la lista roja de la flora vascular cubana. Se destaca la utilidad económica de las especies más importantes y uso práctico para determinar tipos de sitios forestales en las sabanas serpentínicas de Camagüey. This works relates the species of palms that grow in the country of Camagüey from the bibliographical revision and the field observations as well as the corresponding taxonomic advancement. It is reported 32 infrageneric taxas belonging to 9 genuses. From 79, 4 % of the total taxas has a restricted distribution in the Cuban archipelago and five species are strict endemics for the territory of Camagüey. The synanthropic behaviour and the state conservation is valued, it is being reported 24 species with category assigned in the red list of the Cuban vascular flora. Also it’s the economic utility valued of the most important species and practical use to determine types of forest places in the serpentines savannas of Camagüey.
