Etnobotánica de la flora leñosa circundante al banco de germoplasma de Cedrela odorata L. y la comunidad El Congrí The ethnobotanics of the woody flora surrounding the Cedrela odorata L. germoplasm bank and the community El Congrí Arcia-Chávez, Magalys Puig-Pérez, Alain Rodríguez-Guerra, Marina to determine ethno botanic accompanying flora education determinar etnobotánica flora circundante educación El estudio se realizó por especialistas de la Estación Experimental Agro-Forestal Guisa, Granma, con el objetivo de determinar mediante un estudio etnobotánico los usos de la flora leñosa circundante entre el Banco de Germoplasma de Cedrela odorata L. y la comunidad El Congrí, situada a 3 ½ km de la cabecera del municipio, carretera vía Pueblo Nuevo, perteneciente al Consejo Popular El Bombón, para ello se realizaron entrevistas semiestructuradas a los comunitarios y recorridos por el área, lo que permitió listar 40 especies, pertenecientes a 36 géneros, distribuidas en 22 familias botánicas. Como resultado se obtuvo que a 36 especies se les otorga la categoría de medicinales, cinco se consideran ornamentales, 13 de ellas son melíferas y cinco son usadas en rituales. Este estudio, favorece la educación ambiental comunitaria, ofreciendo de las especies medicinales datos sobre partes empleadas, usos y formas de administración. This study was developed by the Agro-Forestry Experimental Station in Guisa, Granma, to determine, by means of an ethno-botanical study, the uses of the accompanying woody flora in Germplasm Bank Cedrela odorata L. and the community El Congrí, located at 3 ½ km from the central town of the municipality, along the road of Pueblo Nuevo town, belonging to the People´s Council EL Bombón. The study included several semi structured interviews to the community inhabitants and visits to the area, which allowed to list 40 species, belonging to 36 genres, distributed in 22 botanic families. As results, out of the 40 species, 36 species were categorized as medicinal, five are ornamental, 13 are melliferous, and five are used in rituals. This study contributes to the community environmental education, providing data of the medicinal species related with the parts used, what are they used for and the ways they are employed.
