En la presente investigación se realiza un estudio acerca de las potencialidades utilitarias de la flora del bosque semideciduo de la Estación Experimental Agroforestal Guisa, del Instituto de Investigaciones Agro-Forestales. Se emplearon diferentes criterios para la determinación de los usos potenciales y atribuidos, como los de Roig (1974) y entrevistas no estructuradas realizadas a pobladores cercanos al área y a los auxiliares de la investigación que laboran en la misma. Se registran 97 especies con propiedades medicinales, 81 melíferas, 53 maderables, como alimento para la fauna silvestre se detectaron 14 especies; en la alimentación humana se usan ocho taxones; en la categoría de ornamentales se determinaron 13. Se demuestra el alto potencial en fitorrecursos que posee el área, los cuales manejados correctamente pueden beneficiar la relación comunidad-bosque. The forests are important sources of resources that contribute subsistence to the alimentary chains, that are developed in them and they facilitate to the man well-being and quality of life. In the present investigation we was studied about the utilitarian potentialities of the flora of the typical forest of the Guisa Agroforestry Experimental Station, of the Agroforestry Research Institute, different approaches were used for the determination of the potential and attributed uses, as those of Roig (1974) and as well as you not interview structured carried out near residents to the area and the assistants of the investigation that work in the same one.
