Bässler en la formación de pluvisilva de montaña en el Parque Nacional Turquino. Se utilizó la metodología del muestreo diagnóstico en árboles reproductivos de la especie, estableciendo parcelas circulares. Se evaluaron parámetros como cantidad de individuos en la regeneración natural, densidad, estructura de tamaños y distribución espacial. Para la evaluación de la altura de las plántulas se realizó un análisis de varianza de clasificación doble, se utilizó el test de Duncan mediante el paquete estadístico InfoStat 2012. Los resultados arrojaron que la especie Abarema maestrensis muestra una alta regeneración en los primeros estadios de desarrollo con una alta mortalidad en las siguientes etapas. La distribución resultó en forma de J invertida, característica de especies amenazadas. La distribución espacial de la especie es uniforme. Se sugiere el manejo adecuado de la regeneración natural para un mayor logro de individuos y su supervivencia. Natural regeneration of Abarema maestrensis (Urb.) Bässler was evaluated in the mountain formation of rain forest in the Turquino National Park. The methodology of the diagnostic sampling was used, in reproductive trees of the specie establishing circular plots. Parameters were evaluated as: quantity of individuals in the natural regeneration, density, structure of sizes and space distribution. For the evaluation of the height of the seedlings was carried out an analysis of variance of double classification, the test of Duncan was used through the statistical package InfoStat 2012. The results proved that the species Abarema maestrensis shows a high regeneration in the first development phases with a high mortality in the next stages, the distribution was in form of invested J, characteristic of threatened species. The space distribution of the species is uniform. The appropriate handling of the natural regeneration is suggested for a bigger achievement of individuals and its survival.
