Para el análisis se tomó una muestra al azar de 50 frutos por tamaños (grandes, medianos y pequeños); las variables en estudio fueron el peso, largo, diámetro y la capacidad germinativa de los frutos. De los resultados se obtiene que la capacidad germinativa en la especie Cedrela odorata L. está relacionada con las variables morfométricas para las condiciones del Banco de Germoplasma, donde en los frutos de mayor tamaño la germinación fue mejor, comportándose a un 88,50 %; en los medianos un 71,50 % y en los pequeños un 67,25 %. This paper presents a research developed in March, 2014, dedicated to evaluating the germinative capacity of the Cedrela odorata L. seeds, and its relationship with the metric morphology of the fruits that are obtained at the germ plasma bank located in El Congrí town, at the Agro forestry Research Station in the municipality of Guisa, Province of Granma. For the analysis, a seeds sample of 50 fruits was taken at random, considering the size categories (large, medium and small); the variables used in the study were weight, length, diameter and germinative capacity of the fruits. As results, it was found that the germinative capacity of the Cedrela odorata L. is related to the morphometric variables for the conditions of the germ plasma bank, where the fruits of larger dimensions had better germination, reaching a 88.50 %; the medium size fruits germination was of 71.50 % and the small fruits germination was 67.25 %.
