Diagnóstico del componente forestal apícola presente en el bosque de la Estación Experimental Agroforestal Guisa Diagnosis of the melliferous forestry component present in the forest of the Agroforestry Experimental Station of Guisa Álvarez-Gongora, Yunior Rodríguez-Sosa, José L. beekeeping honey melliferous forest apicultura miel apícola bosque El estudio muestra el diagnóstico del componente forestal apícola que existe en el bosque de la Estación Experimental Agroforestal Guisa, aspecto que permitirá desarrollar acciones encaminadas a la diversificación de especies con estas cualidades, en torno a que se garantice la permanencia de flores durante todo el año. Como principal resultado se obtuvo que en el área existe un elevado potencial melífero conformado por 61 especies, que representan el 58 % del total identificado, destacándose un período de floración muy intenso comprendido desde enero hasta junio y una disminución significativa de este proceso durante el segundo semestre del año. El estudio arrojó además que el 11 % de las especies melíferas existen de manera abundante, el 14 % medianamente abundante y el 75 % son escasas, demostrando la necesidad que existe de desarrollar un programa de enriquecimiento del bosque con especies melíferas que florezcan en el tercer y cuarto trimestre del año para garantizar la disponibilidad de néctar en este período y de esta manera la producción sustentable de miel. The study shows the forestal melliferous component diagnosis in the Agroforestal Experimental Station forest in Guisa, an aspect that will allow as developing actions directed to the species diversification so that the flowers permanency is guaranteed during the whole year. As the main result we obtained that in the area there is a high melliferous potential conformed by 61 species representing the 58 % of the total identified, with a period of very intense flowering from January to June, and a significant decrease of this process during the second semester of the year. The study also threw that the 11% of the melliferous species exists in an abundant way, 14 % in a fairly abundant and a 75 % are scarce, demonstrating there is necessity to develop a forest enrichment program with the melliferous species that flourish in the 3ed and 4th trimester of the year to guarantee the availability of nectar in this period and in this way the sustainable production of honey.
