Rosabal-Quintana, Alexey Martínez-Borbón, Arasais Pérez-Osorio, Manuel stands natural regeneration residuals rodales regeneración natural residuos El trabajo se realizó con el propósito de evaluar los efectos de la tala selectiva en bosques productores sobre la regeneración natural de la vegetación asociada, los residuos maderables y el suelo. La investigación se ejecutó en el lugar conocido como Pinar del Indio, Granma, Cuba. Se levantaron al azar seis parcelas temporales de muestreo de 500 m2 en dos rodales de Pinus maestrensis Bisse con una superficie total de 4,7 ha. Se determinaron los daños a la regeneración natural en las categorías de brinzal y latizal, las cuales disminuyeron en un 44,7 y 51,4 %, respectivamente. Se calculó el volumen de madera de los residuos dejados en el bosque y se evaluó, además, la superficie de suelo afectada por el arrastre durante la extracción, que fue de 219, 67 m2/ha-1, mostrando el suelo superficial removido y exposición de los horizontes inferiores, aspecto que lo caracteriza como muy disturbado. The work was carried out with the purpose of evaluating the effects of the selective cutting in productions forest on the natural regeneration of the associated vegetation, wooden residuals and soil. The research was executed in the zone named as “Pinar del Indio “, Granma, Cuba. For this were lifted six temporal parcels of sampling of 500 m2 at random; in two stands of Pinus maestrensis Bisse with a total surface of 4,7 ha. The damages to the natural regeneration in the categories of seedlings and saplings were determined those that diminished in a 44.7 and 51.4 %, respectively. Was calculated the wooden volume of the residuals left in the forest and also was evaluated the soil surface affected by the haulage during the extraction, that it was of 219, 67 m2 showing the surface soil removed and exposition of the lower horizons, aspect that classify it as very disturbed.
