Rodríguez-Cuevas, Pedro E. change climatic carbon mitigation forests plantations cambio climático mitigación bosques plantaciones retención de carbono Se presentan los resultados correspondientes a la determinación de la línea base de retención de carbono de la Empresa Forestal Integral (EFI) Baracoa a partir de la capacidad actual de retención de carbono para un año base, desglosados por plantaciones establecidas, bosques naturales (por formación y categoría), área por (re)forestar y área inforestal. Para la realización de este trabajo se parte del empleo del sistema automatizado Sumfor v-2.14. Los resultados muestran que la mayor cuantía de carbono retenido se encuentra en los bosques naturales, y en un segundo lugar en las plantaciones. Se destaca además el aumento de la retención de carbono para la empresa en algo más de 4292,91 kt de carbono para un período de diez años según la línea base proyectada. The results corresponding to the determination of the line base of retention of carbon of the Integral Forest Enterprise (EFI) Baracoa are presented starting from the current capacity of retention of carbon for one year bases, removed by established plantations, natural forests (for formation and category), area for (re)forestar and area inforestal. For the realization of this work leaves of the employment of the automated system Sumfor v-2.14. The reached results show that the biggest quantity of retained carbon is in the natural forests, and in a second place in the plantations. Also stands out the increase of the retention of carbon for the Enterprise in something more than 4292,91 kt of carbon for a 10 year period according to the line it bases projected.
