Estructura poblacional de Abarema maestrensis (Urb.) Bässler, una especie amenazada de la Sierra Maestra Abarema maestrensis (Urb.) Bässler population structure, a threatened species of the Sierra Maestra Sosa-López, Adonis Molina-Pelegrín, Yenia Santos-Chacón, William Arcia-Chávez, Magalys Hechavarría-Kindelán, Orlidia Rosales-Rodríguez, Marcial Abarema maestrensis structures populational conservation Abarema maestrensis estructura poblacional conservación La investigación se desarrolló en el Parque Nacional Pico La Bayamesa con el objetivo de determinar la estructura poblacional de la especie Abarema maestrensis (Urb.) Bässler. Se partió de la prospección de poblaciones e individuos, identificándose cuatro subpoblaciones dispersas, agrupadas en parches aislados, a partir de 920 msnm. El total de individuos asciende a 26 para el taxón. El monitoreo de las poblaciones muestra un estado de conservación adecuado para ellas, avalado por la estructura vertical y horizontal, lo cual denota la existencia de una buena regeneración natural de la especie, y por ende su perpetuidad en la localidad. El estado fitosanitario es satisfactorio y refleja la capacidad de adaptación de la especie a las condiciones ambientales existentes en el territorio. The investigation was developed in the Park National Pick La Bayamesa with the objective to determine the population structure of the specie Abarema maestrensis (Urb.) Bässler. It started from the prospecting of populations and individuals, identifying four scattered sub populations, grouped in isolated patches, from 920 msnm, starting from 920 msnm, the total of individuals reaches 26, for the taxon. A monitoring to the populations sample an appropriate conservation state for the same ones, endorsed by the vertical and horizontal structure, that which denotes the existence of a good natural regeneration of the specie and the perpetuity in the town. The state fitosanitary is satisfactory and reflective the capacity of adaptation of the specie to the existent environmental conditions in the territory.
