Climatic change carbon sustainability forests ecosystems Cambio climático carbono sostenibilidad bosques ecosistema La evaluación de la sostenibilidad del manejo forestal es una medida integral del mantenimiento de la productividad y de las funciones ecológicas y socioeconómicas de los ecosistemas forestales. Para esto se debe considerar el cumplimiento de una buena práctica forestal, y los impactos ecológicos y resultados de manejo en el bosque. Esta evaluación puede lograrse con el uso de un conjunto práctico y científicamente fundamentado de principios, criterios, indicadores y verificadores de sostenibilidad del bosque. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo fundamental valorar la contribución de las áreas forestales de la Empresa Forestal Integral Baracoa en la mitigación del cambio climático, constituyendo este uno de los indicadores de manejo sostenible de los bosques, el cual se basa en dos componentes principales: su capacidad sumidero y sus emisiones de carbono. Como resultado de esta evaluación se muestra que la empresa está trabajando con un nivel de sostenibilidad bajo en cuanto a retención de carbono. The evaluation of the sustainable of the forest handling is an integral measure of the maintenance of the productivity and of the ecological and socioeconomic functions of the forest ecosystems, for this it should be considered the execution of a forest good practice, the ecological impacts and handling results in the forest. This evaluation can be achieved with the use of a practical group and scientifically based of principles, criteria, indicators and verifiers of sustainable of the forest. The present investigation has as fundamental objective to value the contribution of the forest areas of the Forest Integral Enterprise Baracoa in the mitigation of the climatic change; constituting this one of the indicators of sustainable handling of the forests settled down which is based on two main components: their capacity drain and their emissions of carbon. As a result of this evaluation it is shown that enterprise is working with a level of low sustainable as for retention of carbon.
