<dc:description xml:lang="en">The research was conducted in the town of EFI’s Tibisi Mines, in order to evaluate the power of the white-tailed deer in four vegetation types (broadleaf forest in the gallery, tropical natural forest of Pinus tropicalis Morelet, Pinus caribaea Morelet plantation, Barret et Golfari natural forest and pineoak). To carry out the investigation were selected randomly, 128 parcels of 11.20 m long by 1.50 m wide. In each of these were identified browsed plants, as well as the frequency of browsing and the times that each plant appeared, but were not browsed, to determine the rate of food selectivity of each plant, for it Index was used Jacobs. It was found that whitetailed deer for food uses a total of 16 plant species in four plant communities, species constituting Davilla rugosa, Brya ebenus, Roigella correifolia, Matayba oppositifolia, Calophyllum antillanum and Oxandra lanceolata, the highest rate exploitation. The broadleaf forest in the gallery was the largest amount of food plants eaten by deer.</dc:description>
