Martínez-Becerra, Wilfredo pinus behaviour forest fires pinus comportamiento incendios forestales La investigación se desarrolló en la zona Carlos Luis, afectada por un incendio superficial grave, correspondiente a la especie Pinus tropicalis Morelet. Para la obtención de los datos se estratificó el área en función de la pendiente y se evaluó a partir de los tres meses hasta los dos años de haber recibido la acción del fuego. Los resultados fueron sometidos a un análisis de regresión logística, y mostraron diferencias en cuanto al grado de afectación de la especie en los diferentes niveles de pendiente, donde los valores más elevados corresponden al nivel del 15% y el grado de afectación a causa del incendio fue más significativo. Se obtuvo que solo el 8% de la especie logra recuperarse, a diferencia del nivel del 5%, en que se recupera el 48% y al nivel casi llano que corresponden los valores más altos de recuperación del arbolado con un 75%. The investigation was developed in the area Carlos Luis, affected by a serious superficial fire corresponding to the species Pinus tropicalis Morelet. For the obtaining of the data the area was stratified in function of the slope and it was evaluated starting from the three months until the two years of having received the action of the fire. The results were subjected to an analysis of logistical regression showing differences as for the degree of affectation of the species in the different slope levels, where the highest values correspond at the slope level to 15% and the degree of affectation because of the fire it was more significant, being obtained that alone 8% of the species is able to recover contrary to the level to 5% where he/she recovers 48% and in almost flat they correspond the highest values in recovery of the one hoisted with 75%.
