Estos son elementos claves para su determinación como área protegida; sin embargo, el aprovechamiento de estos atractivos no se explota al máximo. Con este trabajo se presenta una valoración de aquellos sitios que pudieran integrar el listado de los atractivos ya existentes con el objetivo de aumentar su oferta, así como disminuir su degradación e incrementar los ingresos que permitan su mejor conservación y desarrollo. Se identificaron 30 valores naturales. Se realizó una caracterización de los principales atractivos, y particularizó la caminata Maravillas de Viñales, en la que se detectaron problemas tales como la cría de cerdos, tala ilícita y falta de mantenimientos a senderos. Se presenta un análisis estadístico del arribo de turistas por meses y visitación a las caminatas, concurriendo el mayor flujo de turistas de países desarrollados.
