Vento-Rivero, Isandra Epiphytes silviculture cultural value Nonwood Forest Product Epífitas silvicultura valores culturales Producto Forestal No Leñoso Se identifican las especies de epífitas de valor cultural que se comercializan libremente y se caracteriza su mercadeo, valorándose la incidencia de determinados aspectos fisiológicos de las especies y de carácter antrópico sobre la base del recurso, con el fin de definir elementos que contribuyan al manejo sostenible de este Producto Forestal No Maderable (PFNM) de los bosques de Cuba. Fueron identificadas 13 especies de epífitas distribuidas en cuatro familias botánicas y ocho géneros, de las cuales se reporta Tillandsia fasciculata como la de mayor frecuencia numérica y la más usual en la comercialización. Los resultados de las entrevistas realizadas permiten resumir los usos reportados. Se establecieron cuatro categorías de uso: (1) ornamental, (2) cultivo independiente, (3) medicinal, (4) labores religiosas. El índice de valor de uso general calculado para cada especie permite expresar para todos los entrevistados la importancia y el grado de consenso en su uso. The marketed freely species of epiphytes of cultural value are identified and the marketing of the same ones is characterized, being valued the incidence of certain physiologic aspects of the species and some human activities on the base of the resource, to define elements that contribute to the sustainable management of this Non-Wood Forest Product of the Cuban forests. 13 species of epiphytes were identified, distributed in some botanical families. Tillandsia fasciculata is reported like the more numeric frequency and the most usual in the commercialization. The results of the realized interviews resume the reported uses in four use categories settled down: (1) ornamental use, (2) cultivate independent, (3) medicinal use, (4) religious labours. The Value Index of General Use calculated for each species express the importance and the consent grade in the use of the same ones for all the interviewees.
