Diagnóstico del componente florístico con propiedades medicinales en la finca «El Corojito» Diagnostic of the floristic component with medicinal estates in the property «El Corojito» Álvarez-Gongora, Yunior Rodríguez-Sosa, José Luis López-Martell, Andrés Cedrela odorata Swietenia medicinal properties flora Cedrela odorata Swietenia flora propiedades medicinales Se muestra un diagnóstico de las propiedades medicinales que poseen las especies presentes en el bosque natural de la finca El Corojito, con el objetivo de propiciar a los pobladores mayor información sobre el empleo de la medicina. Como principales resultados se obtuvo que en el bosque coexisten 78 especies, distribuidas en 71 géneros y 39 familias botánicas, de las cuales el 62,8% presentan al menos un uso medicinal, permitiendo de forma general 150 usos terapéuticos. Especies de gran importancia por la calidad de su madera cobran además una elevada significación atendiendo a sus propiedades medicinales, entre las que destacan Cedrela odorata L. para combatir la disentería, reuma, parásitos, enfermedades renales; Talipariti elatum (Sw.) Fryxell como antiasmática, anticatarral, hipotensora, estimulante de la circulación, y Swietenia mahagoni (L.) Jacq. como emoliente, vulneraria, astringente, hemostática, antiséptica y expectorante, lo que incrementa su demanda por parte de la población. A diagnosis of the medicinal estates is shown that possess the species of the existent flora in the natural forest of the property «El Corojito», with the objective of propitiating the residents more information on the employment of the green medicine. As main results it was obtained that in the forest 78 species coexist, distributed in 71 gender and 39 botanical families, of which 62.8% presents a medicinal use at least, allowing in way general 150 therapeutic uses. Species of great importance assisting to the quality of their wood also charges a high significance assisting to their medicinal estates, among those that Cedrela odorata L. highlights to combat the dysentery, rheumatism, parasites, renal illnesses; Talipariti elatum (Sw.) Fryxell like to combat the asthma, flu and the low pressure, stimulant of the circulation and Swietenia mahagoni (L) Jacq. as emollient, woundwort, astringent, hemostatic, antiseptic and expectorant, what increases their demand on the part of the population.
