Se empleó el método de entrevistas abiertas directamente en las comunidades. El trabajo se realizó en dos localidades (Jazmines, del municipio de Viñales, y Quemados, del municipio de Minas de Matahambre), en Pinar del Río. Se hizo encuesta a un total de 100 personas de ambos sexos, diferentes ocupaciones y nivel cultural. Se obtuvo una información referida al conocimiento y uso de las diferentes partes de los árboles, características de la madera y su abundancia relativa en la localidad. A study etnobotanico of forest species is presented that are developed in the Solid Mountainous Guaniguanico, the method of open interviews was used directly in the s communities. The study was carried out in two towns (Jasmines of the Municipality Viñales and Burnt of the Municipality Mines of Matahambre) of Pinar del Río. The interview was carried out at a total of 100 people of both sexes and different occupations and cultural level.
