	<dc:description xml:lang="es">La importancia de evaluar y dar seguimiento a aspectos que demuestren los impactos del cambio climático sobre los bosques se ha convertido en una necesidad. El estudio de la fenología de los árboles y la función de la temperatura en la modificación del ciclo fenológico es uno de los mayores retos en el campo de la investigación. El objetivo del trabajo es identificar las alteraciones causadas por el aumento de la temperatura mínima sobre los patrones fenológicos de Juglans jamaicencis C. DC. subsp. jamaicensis (nogal del país), endémico de las Antillas Mayores, propia de zonas montañosas durante 1992 y 1999 de Topes de Collantes en el macizo de Guamuhaya. Se valora la importancia que ello tiene para su adaptación y manejo futuro. Se analizaron los patrones fenológicos de J. jamaicensis en los años normales y los calientes. Se produjeron alteraciones fenológicas en las especies, y resultó que en J. jamaicensis estas alteraciones fueron de importancia en la actividad reproductiva, lo que puede comprometer su capacidad futura de adaptación. Se reporta por primera vez un estudio fenológico completo de este taxón en Topes de Collantes.</dc:description>
	<dc:description xml:lang="en">The importance of to evaluate and to give pursuit to aspects that demonstrate the impacts of the climatic change on the forests has become a necessity. The study of the phenology of the trees and the function of the temperature in the modification of the cycle phenological are one of the biggest challenges in the field of the investigation. The objective of the work is to identify the alterations caused by the increase of the minimum temperature on the phenological pattern of Juglans jamaicencis C.DC. subsp. jamaicensis (nogal del país), endemic of the Mayors Antilles of mountainous areas during the years 1992 and 1999 of Topes of Collantes in Guamuhaya. The importance is valued that has it for its adaptation and future handling. The phenological pattern of J. jamaicensis was analyzed in the normal years and hot years. Phenological alterations took place in the species, being that in J. jamaicensis these alterations were of importance in the reproductive activity what can commit their future capacity of adaptation. It is reported a study complete phenology of this taxon for the first time in Topes of Collantes.</dc:description>
