Aptitud de la madera de ocho especies latifolias que crecen en cuba para la fabricación de aglomerados con cemento Velázquez-Viera, Digna Manzanares-Ayala, Katia Guerra-Rivero, Celia agglomerates compatibility cement hydrate species aglomerados compatibilidad cemento hidratación especies Se realizó un estudio para determinar el grado de afinidad con el cemento Portland de la madera de ocho especies forestales que se desarrollan en dos macizos montañosos de Cuba: Guaniguanico y Sagua-Nipe-Baracoa. Se empleó el método de medición de la temperatura de hidratación de las muestras de madera-cemento comparadas con un testigo. Se comprobó que de las ocho especies, las cuatro correspondientes al macizo de Guaniguanico, presentan diferentes grados de compatibilidad –Quercus cubana A. Rich, Pithecellobium arboreum L., Poeppigia procera Prest y Zanthoxylum elephanteasis Macfd.–, mientras que las restantes que crecen en la zona Sagua-Nipe-Baracoa son incompatibles –Lysiloma sabicu A. Rich, Guaiacum officinale (L.), Gliricidia sepium (Jacq.) Steud y Hebestigma cubense (H. B. K.) Urb.–. Las especies buenas y regulares se proponen como posibles fuentes de materia prima en la producción de productos compuestos minerales para el levantamiento de viviendas rurales. The study was carried out a order to determine the degree of likeness with the cement Portland of the wood of 8 forest species that are developed in two solid mountainous of Cuba (Guaniguanico and Sagua-Nipe-Baracoa). The method of mensuration of the hydration the temperature of the wood - cement samples was compared with neat cement. It was proven that of the 8 species, the four corresponding to the solid of Guaniguanico present different degrees of compatibility – Quercus cubana to Rich, Pithecellobium arboreum L., Poeppigia procera Prest and Zanthoxylum elephanteasis Macfd.–, while the remaining ones that Sagua-Nipe-Baracoa grows in the area Mac are incompatible –Lysiloma sabicu A. Rich, Guaiacum officinale (L.), Gliricidia sepium (Jacq.) Steud, Hebestigma cubense (H B K.) Urb.–. The species clasificated is well and regular are considered to possible raw source of rural housing.
