Caracterización y distribución vertical de la fitomasa de raíces del bosque semideciduo en la Reserva de la Biosfera Península de Guanahacabibes, Cuba Alfonso Martínez, Jesús Delgado-Fernández, Freddy roots semideciduos forest raíces bosque semideciduo El trabajo se realizó en los bosques semideciduos de la Reserva de Biosfera Península de Guanahacabibes. Con él se pretende caracterizar la fitomasa subterránea, así como su distribución vertical en este ecosistema. Para la determinación de la fitomasa subterránea fue utilizada la técnica de monolito. Los resultados permitieron conocer la estructura y distribución de la fitomasa de raíces y raicillas, lo que contribuirá a realizar la clasificación funcional de estos ecosistemas y establecer sus posibles estrategias de manejo sostenible. The present work in semideciduos forest of Reseve        Biosphere       Peninsula       de Guanahacabibes was realized characterize underground biomass and vertical distribution of ecosystems was the main purpose. To determine this monolith technique was used. The results allow to know the distribution and structure of roots in order classify functionally those ecosystems and establish the management structure for those forest types.
