En este trabajo se realiza una revisión de los aspectos taxonómicos y biológicos de los principales agentes nocivos que afectan las semillas, la propagación y la reforestación en el cultivo de los pinos en Cuba. Se discuten las medidas agrotécnicas y legales para mantener un buen estado fitosanitario en viveros y plantaciones. Se expone la actualización en las metodologías de señalización para Spodoptera sunia (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) Rhyacionia frustrana (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae) los descortezadores del género Ips (Coleoptera: Scolytidae)  y para la mancha parda (Lecanosticta acicola). Además se realiza un análisis crítico de las limitaciones que presenta la implementación del manejo integrado de plagas forestales en el país. The information about the management of pine forest pest is dispersed and outdated. In this work is carried out a revision of the taxonomic and biological aspects of the principal agents that affect the seeds, nursery and the reforestation in the pine forest in Cuba. The agrotecnic and legal issue in order to maintain a good pest status in nurseries and pine plantations are discussed. The upgrade of signaling methodologies for Spodoptera sunia (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) Rhyacionia frustrana (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae) the bark beetles of the genus Ips (Coleoptera: Scolytidae) and for the brown stain (Lecanosticta acicola) is exposed. Also is carried out a critical analysis of the limitations that presents the implementation of the Integrated Pest Management in forest in the country.
