El objetivo del estudio fue proponer acciones de aprovechamiento de bajo impacto para la madera en bolo, garantizando la sostenibilidad del recurso y su viabilidad económica. Se empleó una metodología basada en diagnósticos de campo, entrevistas a técnicos y obreros, y análisis dasométricos en el bosque "El Roble". Se identificaron seis clases diamétricas con crecimiento irregular, lo que evidenció la falta de raleos y control de malezas. Se recomendaron prácticas como raleos para eliminar árboles dañados, control de malezas, y prevención de plagas mediante selección de plantas sanas y visitas técnicas periódicas. Los resultados mostraron que las plantaciones, con árboles de 26 años, presentaban un potencial productivo limitado debido a la ausencia de manejo adecuado. Se destacó la necesidad de capacitación para productores y técnicos en tratamientos silviculturales, que combinan la teoría y la práctica, para mejorar la gestión y aprovechamiento sostenible de las plantaciones. The lack of silvicultural treatments and anthropic pressure in a Tabebuia angustata Britton plantation in the Yara management area in Granma province, generated significant damage such as the proliferation of weeds, forest fires and irregular tree growth. The objective of the study was to propose low-impact harvesting actions for the lumber in pellets, guaranteeing the sustainability of the resource and its economic viability. A methodology based on field diagnoses, interviews with technicians and workers, and dasometric analysis was used in the "El Roble" forest. Six diameter classes with irregular growth were identified, evidencing the lack of thinning and weed control. Practices such as thinning to eliminate damaged trees, weed control, and pest prevention through the selection of healthy plants and periodic technical visits were recommended. The results showed that the plantations, with 26-year-old trees, had limited productive potential due to the lack of adequate management. The need for training for producers and technicians in silvicultural treatments, combining theory and practice, to improve the management and sustainable use of plantations was highlighted.
