Este estudio tuvo como objetivo elaborar un plan de manejo silvícola sostenible para el patrimonio forestal de la Cooperativa de Producción Agropecuaria (CPA) Lázaro Peña González, en Cuba, para el período 2019-2023. Se realizó un inventario forestal en 341,5 hectáreas, mediante metodologías estandarizadas y software especializado (SIFOMAP 4.2) para la clasificación de usos del suelo, división en lotes y rodales, y evaluación dasométrica. Se identificaron 36 especies arbóreas, de las cuales 13 fueron clasificadas como maderables de interés económico. Los resultados mostraron que el bosque natural presentaba un alto grado de antropización, con rodales predominantemente de ocupación incompleta (menos de 750 árboles/ha de especies económicas), lo que indicó la necesidad de intervenciones silvícolas. Se propusieron cortas de mejora y enriquecimientos intensivos y moderados, con especies como Cedrela odorata, Swietenia macrophylla y Guarea guidonia, así como la técnica de grupos densos espaciados para rehabilitar los rodales degradados. El plan de manejo cubrió el 80% del área forestal, priorizando la sostenibilidad y la mejora de la estructura del bosque. Se concluyó que estas acciones contribuirán a la rehabilitación económica del bosque y a su manejo multietáneo, lo que asegura su conservación y uso sostenible. Sustainable forest management is essential to ensure the conservation of forest resources and their contribution to economic and environmental development. This study aimed to develop a sustainable silvicultural management plan for the forest assets of the Lázaro Peña González Agricultural Production Cooperative (CPA) in Cuba for the period 2019-2023. A forest inventory was conducted on 341.5 hectares, using standardized methodologies and specialized software (SIFOMAP 4.2) for land-use classification, division into lots and stands, and dasometric assessment. Thirty-six tree species were identified, of which 13 were classified as timber of economic interest. The results showed that the natural forest presented a high degree of anthropization, with predominantly incomplete stands (less than 750 trees/ha of economic species), indicating the need for silvicultural interventions. Improvement fellings and intensive and moderate enrichment measures were proposed, using species such as Cedrela odorata, Swietenia macrophylla, and Guarea guidonia, as well as the densely spaced group technique to rehabilitate degraded stands. The management plan covered 80% of the forest area, prioritizing sustainability and improving forest structure. It was concluded that these actions will contribute to the economic rehabilitation of the forest and its multi-age management, ensuring its conservation and sustainable use.
