Efecto de seis materiales de cubierta en la germinación de las semillas, supervivencia y desarrollo de las posturas de Swietenia macrophylla, Caesalpinia violacea y Colubrina ferruginosa en vivero

Abstract
En el vivero «José Martí» de Ciego de Ávila, se llevó a cabo un experimento para determinar el efecto de seis materiales de cubierta en la germinación de las semillas, así como la supervivencia y desarrollo de las posturas de Swietenia macrophylla King, Caesalpinia violacea y Colubrina ferruginosa, en vivero. Se empleó un diseño de bloques al azar, con cuatro réplicas y seis tratamientos. Como materiales de cubierta se utilizó suelo, arena gruesa, gravilla, cáscara de arroz, aserrín de latifolias y hojas picadas. Los datos fueron procesados mediante el análisis de varianza y la prueba de rango múltiple de Duncan. Sobre la base de los resultados, se consideró que el material de cubierta más propio para su aplicación en vivero, desde el punto de vista técnico-económico, es aserrín de latifolia para la Swietenia macrophylla y suelo tamizado para la Colubrina ferruginosa y la Caesalpinia violacea.
