Nueva utilizacion de productos quimicos en el combate de incendios

Abstract
En el trabajo s e comparó la capacidad extintora de los productos químicos fabricados en el pa ís (detergente industrial No.3 y jabón líquido) con losproductos importados (Alcofoan, Neomerpín y Sulfanol). EL método seguido consistió en hacer experimentos de laboratorio y de campo. En ambos casos se usaron los productos extintores disueltos en agua en concentraciones pequeñas al 0,l: 0,2 y 0,3 % y en valores mayores 1, 2 y 3 % . Para el trabajo de laboratorio se usaron bandejas de 30 cm de anchura por 4 0 cm de longitud con material combustible de restos de vegetales y recipientes de 20 L que contenían kerosene y gasolina. En el campo s e montaron parcelas de 50 m de anchura y 50 m de longitud en zonas de alta combustibilidad de las-provincias de Pinar del Río, La Habana, Villa Clara y Camaguey; la aplicacidn de los productos se hizo con el carro contra incendios Zil-131 y en el avión PZL-M18. Los resultados de la investigacidn demostraron que las propiedades extintoras de los productos estudiados son semejantes a las de los importados; por lo que éstospueden s e r sustituidos,con el consiguiente ahorro de divisas en mds de 24 000 pesos por año en la actividad de extinción de incendios.
