Características de la calidad intrínseca de las semillas de Swietenia macrophylla

Abstract
A lotes de semillas de 14 procedencias de S. macrophylla cosechados durante cinco años se les analizaron siete indicadores fundamentales para una evaluación de la calidad intrínseca de las simientes de esta especie. Se describen, además, las variaciones de los indicadores estudiados debido a diferentes años de cosecha y distintos períodos de almacenamiento, que sientan bases para perfeccionar los métodos de manejo de las fuentes semilleras y los lotes de semillas de la especie.
