Contenido de macro elementos en los granos maduros de las variedades de cafeto Catuai Amarillo y Caturra Rojo y sus exportaciones por la cosecha

Abstract
En la finca «El Sopapo» de la Empresa Cafetalera de Cumanayagua en la provincia de Cienfuegos, a una altura de 740 msnm se tomaron cinco campos de Coffea arabica Lin., plantados con las variedades «Catuai Amarillo» y «Caturra Rojo», sobre un suelo Ferralítico Rojo Amarillento, con espaciamiento 1 m x 2 m, bajo sombra natural variada. El estudio se realizó en la cosecha del año 1986 y en total se analizaron 149 muestras de cerezas maduras, a las que se les determinó su contenido de macro elementos N, P, K, Ca, y Mg. Con los porcetanjes de cada uno de ellos y la materia seca de los granos, se calculó la cantidad exportada por la cosecha. Se observó que el N y el K resultaron los elementos retirados en mayor cuantía, lo que correspondió a 30,6 y 44,15 kg/t de café comercial respectivamente, en el caso de la variedad «Catuai Amarillo» y 28,80 y 43,19 en el de la «Caturra Rojo».
