Rendimiento Cereza/Oro café exportable de Coffea arabica var. «Caturra» en tres alturas del Escambray

Abstract
El trabajo se realizó durante tres años en seis zonas productoras de café en la Empresa Municipal Agroforestal (EMA) Jibacoa, provincia de Villa Clara. En cada lugar se tomó un cafetal fomento en producción de 10 años de plantado con Coffea arabica Lin. variedad «Caturra» ubicado en tres rangos de altura sobre el nivel del mar. Se recogieron cinco muestras de 12,88 kg de café cereza en cada campo, al azar y por año, coincidiendo con las pasas de maduración, excepto la primera y la última. El proceso de beneficio se efectuó por vía húmeda. Se determinó el rendimiento cereza/ oro y café exportable. Para el análisis estadístico se utilizó un modelo factorial 3 x 3, ANOVA clasificación doble y Duncan para la comprobación de medias; se encontró interacción altamente significativa para los factores estudiados. El mejor rendimiento de cereza/oro se obtuvo en las alturas comprendidas entre 501 y 600 msnm con 17,37% y un efecto económico de $61,29/t de café cereza y el mayor porcentaje de café para exportar en las alturas comprendidas entre 341 – 500 y 501 – 600 m con efecto económico de $ 84,01/t de café cereza. Se recomienda a la producción, fomentar áreas con la variedad «Caturra» en aquellos lugares, cuyas altitudes sean superiores a 340 m.
