Abstract
The study was developed in area the 30 has, managed with technique of Analog Forestry in the basin of the river Sabanilla en Baracoa, Guantánamo. With the objective of analyzing the structure and composition of the vegetation in forest fragment in the date understood from November of 2014 until June of 2015. 16 parcels storms of sampling of 500 m2 settled down (20 x 25). The species present floristic as were counted in the different strata he/she was carried out an analysis structural florístico through the index of ecological value of importance. A total of 43 families, 2513 individuals and 64 woody species were identified; the families with bigger quantity of individuals were Malvaceae and Fabaceae and those of bigger quantity of species Poaceae, Malvaceae and Rubiaceae. They stand out with better index of value of ecological importance the species Bambusa vulgaris (97,2 %), Calophyllum antillanum (95,2 %), Samanea saman (83,6 %), Terminalia catappa (80,6 %) and Guarea guidonea (79,2 %).
