Proposal of mitigation options for gas emissions greenhouse effect for the Integrated Enterprise Forestry Baracoa
Main Article Content
Abstract
Starting from a study of retention of carbon already existent for the Integral Forest Enterprise (EFI) Baracoa a simulation of modifications of the handling of its forest resources is attacked to increase the potential of retention of carbon like mitigation options that allow to this entity to contribute with the decrease of the atmospheric CO2 and to facilitate the increase of its retention of carbon. They were simulated a total of seven alternatives, showing that the most feasible options so that the company increases the retention of carbon above the line it bases they consist on to duplicate the area of annual plantation and to increase the IMA in wooden volume in the plantations and in the natural forests in 1 m3/ha/año, being identified this as the best alternative in the technical administration to increase the retained carbon that of being completed the same one, it would allow him to reach at the end of the period an additional accumulation of superior carbon to the 6000,00 ktC.
