Multipurpose species proposals for the design of analog forestry in Guantánamo and Research Institute Agroforestales
Main Article Content
Abstract
The present study was carried out in the scenarios of the 14 Forest Estates of Paraguay belonging to the Guantanamo Integral Forest Enterprise and the Institute of Agro-Forest Research, with the objective of proposing multipurpose ornamental and fruit species to increase biodiversity in these Locations. In the selection of the species, a documentary review of reports of studies carried out in different localities of Cuba and outside of Cuba was carried out, as well as criteria of community actors. The information obtained was analyzed through descriptive statistics and proportion analysis and yielded a wealth of 28 families, 41 genera and 43 species; with an increase of 25 %, 44 % and 37 % in previous taxonomic indicators with respect to the existence of existing plantations.
