Abstract

In order to estimate forest variables in the plantations of Bambusa vulgaris Schrader ex Wendlan under the terms of the Model Forest Manacas Sheets located in the province of Villa Clara, in central Cuba. A study was conducted in plantations five years old, established on a yellowish Ferralitic where temporary sample plots were erected to determine the number of individuals per diameter class, measuring the dasometric variable, external diameter of the culm, inner diameter of culm, external volume of the culm, culm and internal volume of the solid volume. Linear, polynomial of 2nd and 3rd grade: With the use of mathematical modeling three regression models were evaluated. For the total height of culm model was the best fit linear to the inner diameter of the culm 2nd grade polynomial model and the solid volume of the culm the 3rd grade polinomial models.
