Hidrologic behavior of the natural regeneration of pine plantation in Alturas de Pizarras, Pinar del Río province, Cuba
Main Article Content
Abstract
In the present paper the first investigation results, which are very important for diligences or management to guarantee a supply of water with quality for all the uses in a sustained way, when depends on the forests of pine for the availability of this valuable liquid, for that reason the main objective of the present article is to reveal the behavior of the variable rains, superficial flow and the total annual evapotranspiration in the first states of the natural regeneration of P. caribaea, P. tropicalis. This investigation were experienced and evaluated in the Forest Hydrological Station Amistad, Pinar del Río province, the hydrological indexes were determined in the trial of hidric balance at the catchment V. It concludes that the natural regeneration of pines plantation due to its favourable growth has considerable hydrological restoration in the watershed in the region of Alturas de Pizarras, Pinar del Río province, when being observed uniformity in the growth of the tree youngs.
