Morfometríc of fruits de Swietenia macrophylla King x Swietenia mahagoni (L.) Jacq. (hybrid maho-gany) in different towns of the Granma province

Abstract
In the present study was evaluated, long, wide and weight of fruits of Swietenia macrophylla King x Swietenia mahagoni (L.) Jacq. in five localities, El Zapote, Mabay, Santa Bárbara, Bombón and La Soledad; with the objective to evaluate the variation in weight, length and diameter of the fruits. The fruits were gathered in the month of January, 2014; of each tree they took 50 fruits at random (250 fruits in total). The descriptive statistic to characterize the distribution of the variables in each locality. Was used a according to the pattern of double classification with 95 % of probability and a test of comparison of stockings to compare the variables in study. A wide variation was presented among localities with regard to the evaluated variables, the locality Santa Bárbara presented the longest, wide and heavy fruits, while the site Bombón presented the smallest values.
