Abstract

With the determination objective the potential of biomass of the species Bambusa vulgaris starting from the yield and their components under the conditions of the county Granma, they were carried out simple random samplings, in plantations with understood age between 12 and 14 years, in Cauto-Cristo, Río Cauto y Manzanillo; it has than enough floors respectively it lives Fluvisol, Vertisol and Brown Sialítico. He/she was carried out an ANOVA of Simple Classification and comparison of stockings by means of the Test Duncan of 5 % on the components of the yield; the weight average of the profitable culmos of 36,3 kg x culmo-1 and that of the branches corresponding of 9,2 kg x culmos-1 that generated to yield of 14,5 t x ha-1 that determines to potential of biomass for this species of 294 030 t, of the year 2015, what allows to achieve benefits economic, social and environmental derivates of multiple its uses.
