Abstract

the present time the technological innovations allow the creation, production, and generation of products with added value to foment the protection of the environment starting from the planning of the forest operations, but in most of the Latin American countries this practice is not carried out in a systematic way as managerial strategy to elevate the success of the investments. In Cuba, the residuals of the forest treatments such as the thinning, present low commercial value in the forest companies, for what is imposed to look for alternatives for their re-use in technologies with added value. The objective of the work is to evaluate the aptitude of the residuals of thinning of three forest species for the technologies of mineral bonded wood cement composite boards through a study of the chemical composition of some chemical compounds of the woody particles.
