The capacity of the forest to mitigate climate change according to the sustainable indicator

Abstract
The evaluation of the sustainable of the forest handling is an integral measure of the maintenance of the productivity and of the ecological and socioeconomic functions of the forest ecosystems, for this it should be considered the execution of a forest good practice, the ecological impacts and handling results in the forest. This evaluation can be achieved with the use of a practical group and scientifically based of principles, criteria, indicators and verifiers of sustainable of the forest. The present investigation has as fundamental objective to value the contribution of the forest areas of the Forest Integral Enterprise Baracoa in the mitigation of the climatic change; constituting this one of the indicators of sustainable handling of the forests settled down which is based on two main components: their capacity drain and their emissions of carbon. As a result of this evaluation it is shown that enterprise is working with a level of low sustainable as for retention of carbon.
