Estimation of the carbon content in the forests the Forest Integral Company Guantánamo
Main Article Content
Abstract
The human activities are producing an excess of gases of effect hothouse (GEI) that are heating the climate of the earth potentially; as long as the forest ecosystems are storing the carbon of the atmosphere in the biomass and the floor. In this sense, and leaving of the data of wooden volume in available foot in the Project of Organization and Development for the Forest Economy (2009) of the Forest Integral Company (EFI) Guantánamo, an estimate is carried out of the quantity of that the forests and forest floors are capable to retain, transforming this way into the first approach to the potential of the mentioned company to contribute to mitigate the global heating provoked by the emissions of GEI.
