Diagnostic of the urban situation of the tree-lined one in the Guisa city

Abstract
As an initial phase for the development of a program of urban forestry, it was carried out the inventory and diagnostic of the urban forest of the Guisa city, Granma province. The investigation begin with the selection of the main streets, parks, spaces and other areas. Was made a diagnosis of the situation of the tree-lined in the urban area and also in the urban periphery of the city with the quantification of the existent species. The results threw a total of 305 individuals, contained in 19 species. It was detected that the biggest representativeness of the species is alochthonous. The economic valuation of the main species inside the urban context denotes the importance of the tree-lined in places degraded by the antropic action. The proposal of the handling of the green areas involves a bigger participation of native species in the ornament of the city minimizing the existent degradation.
