Dear the yield of essential oil de Melaleuca leucodendron L. (cayeput) in six origins and five spacing

Abstract
The industry of the perfumery and pharmacy use great variety of essential oils and aromatic chemical that are imported raw materials. It is of interest in the production of essential oils of the species Melaleuca leucodendron Lin. (Cayeput) that is developed preferably in humid and/or marshy lands. The objective of the present work is to study the yield of oil essential of an investigation with 6 origins and 5 spacings. Two parcels were analyzed with different foliage cut off dates in each treatment. The essential oil yield went from 1 to 3% of the foliage weight for the treatments, 6,7 kg of oil in the first court parcel and the 6,3 kg in second, with an the predict respectively of foliage of 550 kg/ha and 440 kg/ha. The most promissory origin was Topes of Collantes and the spacing 3 m x 1 m. It was in the essential oil the components: alpha-pineno (16,9%), cajeputene (18%), 1-8 eucalyptol (20%) and eugenol (15%), among others. Among the applications of the essential oil of this species it is their use in: insecticides, germicides, fungicides, cosmetics, pharmacy, etc.
