Abstract
The efforts to recover the galleries forests in the basins are in correspondence with the politicians of the Cuban state regarding the protection of the natural resources. This work one carries out river basins Birth of the maximum, county of Camagüey, with the objective of elaborating the proposal of recovery of their galleries forest. It was necessary summary of available information of the area; the methodologies were selected with the proposed objective, later on, proceeded to inventory and to diagnose the forest species of the forest of galleries from the adjacent areas to the main river. When elaborating the proposal, one kept in mind the state and composition of the relicts of the forest of existent gallery and it was compared with the corresponding to a forest climax of the same type and localization.
