Main Article Content
Abstract
The investigation was carried out in the months understood between January and April of the 2007, in a natural pinegrove of Pinus tropicalis Morelet 192 has located in the Tibisí, which belongs to the lot 15 of the Unit Silvícola Santa Lucía of the Integral Forest Company Mines of Matahambre; with the objective of determining the structure and composition of the communities of birds associated to natural areas of P. tropicalis Morelet. For the census of the birds the recount method was used in points with fixed radio proposed by Wunderle (1994) for the count of birds of the Caribbean. A total of 37 species of birds distributed in 11 Orders and 18 Families were detected, which were classified according to its abundance and it remained inside the national territory, the group trofico to which belong, endemismo level and threat grade. It was determined the distribution and abundance of the birds by strata.
