Test of the use of insecticides against Rhyacionia frustrana

Abstract
Rhvacionia frustrana (Comst.) belong to the group of pests whouse control in nurseries and young plantations iS done by meansof chemical products. In this paper the results obtained with the following insecticides: Actellic encapsulated, Bi 58, Actellic, Curater, Dimilin, Dipterex, Pirimor, Primicid and Terracur P., are given. Someof these insecticides were applied as a spray and sorne others as granules. The best results were obtained with Dimilin sprays, in a dose of .l050 g/ha; and a mixture of Dimilin and Dipterex in a dose of 1 050 g of the former and 350 g of the latter, by hectare. Besides, by applying Pirimor as granules good results were obtained in the dose of 1 g for each plant. These pesticides in addi tion to be of a low toxici ty, have a residual action and protect the plants for a long period of time.
