Propuesta de clasificación de las especies maderables para el manejo forestal integral (primera parte)

Abstract
Proposal of this work is a classification of the timber species that serves the forest development of the country, based on the method of criteria of experts and on a bibliographical investigation that has allowed to retake the preceding classifications and to argue new categories of classification, adapted to the perspective of the development of the sector. Considering the traditional uses and preferences, the density of the wood, the hardness, the physical and mechanical maturity of the trees, properties, the industrial factors of diminution of undesirable effects in the raw material and perspective, the present classification includes new categories for the economic species, with tables with listings of species, stands where they grow with more frequency, approximate turns and minimum diameters of loggings of the adult trees, according to the characteristics of the species. The work considers in addition the indications for the species on extinction risks and suggests the necessary investigation of prices by industrial targets.
