Resultados del inventario en las plantaciones Bambusa vulgaris Schard var. vulgaris en el municipio de San Luis de la provincia de Pinar del Río

Abstract
Bambusa vulgaris Schard var. vulgaris is one of the bamboo species highly distributed along the whole country, mainly on river banks in scion ways. This species stands out by being soil preserver, it is used in fishing and constructions. In the research conducted about the species at Pinar del Río Comprehensive Forestry Enterprise, Pinar del Río a forestry inventory was included aimed at knowing about the existence of it and its situation, as well as promoting the establishment of new plantations. Data about the amount of scions, culms on the scions according to the vegetative status, height, diameter, and weight of the culm were obtained; it was also determined that in San Luis municipality exist 91 hectares of Bambusa vulgaris Schard var. vulgaris.
